FRIENDS OF JCU

To supplement the Credit Union’s income, Friends of JCU operate a lottery for members only. The money raised is donated to the credit union to fund special training seminars and functions for volunteers and staff, to help maintain the property and for the purchase of promotional materials etc.

Lottery membership is voluntary and each member who takes part contributes £1.00 per month, which is deducted from his or her S1 savings account at the end of each month. The member may terminate membership at any time. Half of the money collected is donated to the credit union and the other half is paid out in lottery prizes. Each member is allowed one turn in the monthly draw, which takes place at the monthly board meeting.

7 MONTHLY PRIZES OF £100

The number of prizes depends on how many members are participating and From July 2008 we are paying seven £100 prizes each month with any surplus funds being used for a special Christmas draw.    New members are encouraged to take part. Just think, for only one pound per month you will be helping your Credit Union to grow strong and at the same time you could be one of the lucky winners.
